Feedback from a long standing members. Below are some tips that we have observed to be super helpful in the maintenance of our product:

- Don’t excessively wash your hair or wash it every day. It's not necessary (unless you're a very dirty person…LOL). It will dry out your hair. It can also affect the color and, potentially, the bond over a period of time.

- Also, stop touching your hair all the time. Your hands are dirty, and you will transfer the dirt to your hair. You will also draw unwarranted attention to your hair if you touch and adjust it all the time.

- Use high-quality shampoo. Try one of MND’s; they are specially made for quality hair. I use them myself. The cheap ones will strip your hair's oils and affect the color. Also, high-quality products use better ingredients and are refined into smaller molecules, which better treat the hair.

- Be very cautious of alcohol in hair products. They can dry out your hair and weaken the bond. Check the ingredients. Alcohol is a solvent and is used to remove moisture from products.

- Use hair conditioner sparingly and avoid applying it directly to your scalp. Focus on your hair and ends for the best results. Avoid gimmicks, remember your hair is dead, and hair products only coat the hair shaft. Also most conditioner is effective within the first 15 seconds of its application.

- Take a look at the product ingredients. The first 3 make up over 95 percent of the product. Don’t fall for the hype.

- Try coconut or almond oil-based conditioners, but remember, don’t overdo it! If you feel your hair is drying out, you can also use light oil treatments between washes. Just don’t overdo it; less is more with hair. You can use the treatment as a pre-wash. Do not apply the oil to your scalp.

- Do not comb hair roughly when wet. It will stretch and break. Always use a detangler, I recommend the “Jorgen Oxidation Maintenance Spray” sold at MND.

- Get a flexible plastic bristle vent brush and begin combing and de-tangling from the ends. Remember, do not rake through your hair roughly when brushing. Remember, it's not a patch of grass!!!

- It's best to use a hair dryer on low heat and sparingly. Focus on your scalp, and consider patting your hair with a towel before using the hair dryer. Don't over dry, leave your hair a bit damp.

- Don’t overdo it with hair spray. Though the alcohol gets atomized by the spray, the acrylics in the spray will build up and dry out your hair overtime. Dry hair gets damaged and breaks.

- Instead, use bottled water in a sprayer. It will moisturize your hair and allow you to style it. Then you can use a little hair spray.

- Always remember, DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR HEAD! You will damage the unit and hair and potentially scratch and infect your scalp. Instead, SLAP your head. The nerves causing the itching will have the same reaction to the slapping.

- Finally, remember that excessive sunlight will oxidize the color of anyone's hair. So once again, don’t overdo it. If you're going to be in the sun all day, get a hat.
